The Renault Master PIGGYBACK has been designed to provide a legitimate alternative to traditional dropside vehicles or to towing a trailer for transporting mini-plant equipment and ride-on mowers between sites.
Based on the Medium Wheel Base Renault Master Platform Cab, the PIGGYBACK design incorporates the factory bulkhead to make a full weather proof seal fitted with a cab high gantry and tie off points.
With the deck and sides fabricated from extruded aluminium and raised above the floor line to give a loading guide rail, the floor is made from corrugated aluminium planks and fitted with 12 lashing points and a centre forward section open to provide extra storage.
Both the loading ramps (1380mm x 425mm) have a SWL of 1000kg each, offer an excellent ramping angle of 14° in the loading position, are constructed from extruded aluminium with a corrugated surface for extra grip and are locked into the gantry for storage and to form the side boards.
The body also features two aluminium security lockers, one on each side, that are both hinged and lockable, so small tools can be stored securely and out of sight, alternatively the lockers can be used for storing the loading ramps.
All this can be driven with a standard category B driving licence, and with no need for an “Operator’s Licence”.
The Renault Master PIGGYBACK has payloads from 1600kg depending on bodywork options.
